1 Corinthians 15:1-11

15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.  And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.  But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed

In verse 10, we see the word “grace” meaning–The ability of God. We are nothing on our own but it is the ability of God that can and will bring us to a work of God.

Paul reiterated the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as well as the witnessing of those events because He wanted to make sure everyone knew there was no mistakes made. Jesus said what would happen and it came about just as He said. God was able and did what He said He would.
Jesus had a mother, a family and friends.
All but one of the twelve disciples died because of Jesus.
Jesus’ mother knew he was the Son of God and believed what He said. She believed He was the Savior of the world.start and end
Sometimes we come to the place where we just don’t want to go on. We are tired of life.

That’s when we need to turn to Christ and open our hearts to Him. He will give us rest, peace and a desire to go on.
Get a picture of the crucifixion. It was the most cruel method of death. It was reserved for the worst criminals. The place where the crucifixion took place was right by the main thoroughfare so everyone passing by could see the criminals dying. The Romans wanted everyone to see the death.
At the feet of Jesus as He was hanging on the cross were Roman soldiers gambling for His clothes and shoes. On the Cross was the Savior, the Hope of the World. While they were gambling in their lives, they were close to the cross but far from the Blood that could cleanse them of their sins. Their lives were totally consumed with their own sins and passions while the Passion of Christ was going on right in front of them. God is working in this world and He wants to work in you but you must first look to Him! You must let the Blood cleanse your sins. It’s not enough to be at the foot of the Cross, you have to let His blood cover and cleanse you.
If we aren’t careful we will gamble away our lives by looking to things and riches while we sit by the Cross. We can get to the place where church is just a place to go. Christ needs to be THE priority. God is to be THE Head of your life, THE driving force in your life, the CENTER of your home.let god use you
It’s time to quit sitting at the foot of the Cross and allow the Blood shed by Christ to bring power and new life to you!
Christ is knocking at your heart’s door. Don’t wait to open it. Don’t gamble with your future because of your ambitions and aspirations.
seek god first2Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.     What makes us rich is Christ. We can say we’ve accomplished something if we’ve accepted Christ as our Savior
Make the right choice-about the ULTIMATE sacrifice that Jesus made for you. Accept the blood of Christ and let it cover your life.
